JOHN M. YOUNT - Principal
John M. Yount has over 30 years experience as a project manager and electrical design professional. He has had extensive experience in the design of electrical systems for many and varied applications. These include: hospitals with emergency backup, alarm and paging systems; medical facilities; theaters and restaurants; schools and other educational facilities; laboratories; computer facilities with UPS; amateur and professional sports facilities; elderly housing; and correctional facilities. Additionally, John has performed electrical engineering design for numerous commercial and industrial applications.
DAVID H. OTO, P.E. - Electrical Engineer
Mr. Oto has over 30 years of electrical engineering, project engineering and leadership experience. He has planned, designed and directed teams during the design and construction of various medium voltage (4, 12, 21 and 35kV) projects. He has specified and procured many types of equipment including transformers, switchgear, capacitors, regulators, and reclosers. His experience also includes 69kV long term planning and bulk substation planning. Mr. Oto is also experienced with power systems anaysis, distribution systems expansion planning, design utilizing construction standards, and operations support. He is a subject matter expert in utility distribution systems.

Mr. Oto has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis (1977) and an AA in Engineering from Sacramento City College (1975).
JOE ESTRADA - Electrical Designer
Joe Estrada has over 12 years experience in electrical engineering design. His primary emphasis has been design and management of various electrical engineering projects throughout Northern California encompassing a variety of High Rise, Educational, Institutional, and Industrial facilities.
Joe’s strengths are his ability to communicate clearly and often. By maintaining a close relationship with the team members Joe is able to quickly recognize the immediate needs as well as specify future goals that need to be obtained.
CHRIS YOUNT - Electrical Designer
Chris has over 2 years experience in architecture/engineering computer aided drafting and design. He has 3 years experience in management and has completed his first year of electrical design study. Mr. Yount is currently an electrical design engineer in training and cadd operator for EDC. His primary focus has been on Lighting Design while also learning power design at the same time. Chris is among one of EDC’s young and upcoming design engineers that will be an integral part of EDC’s future.
Chris brings 1 year of electrical design experience to EDC. He served as a designer on several small projects which include medical office facilities, universities & retail. Chris has two years of field experience in CADD plus two years of schooling.
GREG KESZLER - Lighting Designer
Greg Keszler is senior manager responsible for the daily operation of the Technical Support Department. In addition, he is responsible for CAD Operations and the EDC Quality Control Program.
With over 17 years experience in the AutoCAD and drafting field, Greg has an in-depth knowledge of all the software releases including the current 2006 version. He has assisted in the implementation of third-party software products to provide creative solutions to complex design challenges. Greg is knowledgeable in writing and implementing lisp routines and menu customization in order to maximize CAD capabilities. With his experience in project management, Greg has set the company CAD standards for projects to run smoothly and efficiently.
Greg has completed courses in administrating Microsoft Windows and Technologies, completing part of the coursework required to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). As a member of the EDC Lighting Design Team, Greg is currently completing courses for his Lighting Design Specialist Certifications.
